There are PLENTY of older choices that have better specs, can be rooted, and thus just run Cyanogen or whatever current open source flavor of rom is. Google may start screwing new devices and Android versions, but if they "lose" your banking or some other critical info you can milk the hell out of them. If a nurotic basement dweller who made a virgin, new, free OS without even official hardware backing (as in guy having ANY money) does something with your data - gooooooood luck.

I'm at the age where it takes me an hour to put together a new fan that shipped in cheap plastic molds pieces that made no senseView attachment 575987
. I'm not a fan of stoneagegamer, but no other option. And there are only two color schemes remaining of what was once a wide choice of colors. I don't expect there will be another batch, so I went ahead and got a black&green one. If I can't stand the color, I'll buy some spray paint.
Bought another Dell Optiplex 9020 for either my Bedroom or the Living room. Now I gotta buy a cord, More mem.. And HDMI cable.

I think I got a 500g HDD here somewhere.
This one is cheaper than the one I'm typing on now. And it has an i7 core, where this one I'm on now, didn't when I first got it Sheesh. But, I do see some Cosmetic damage
.
Data centers require power over weakness for a reason.Kinda interesting that in the midst of all this internet consternation and finger pointing over prices for RAM & graphics cards, a perfectly functional & fairly recent PC that's just a little behind the current bleeding edge can be bought for peanuts.

PC builders have wanted overkill machines for decades. They're just mad data centers are stripping that from them.Right but it's actually only a very small slice of the general public that wouldn't be perfectly well served by @AncientBoi 's 'new' Dell. I'll let our contingent of 'hardcore gamers' chime in to explain how I'm wrong and just don't understand.

I'd suggest another 8gb stick, but it might cost more than you spent on the PC itself.![]()

They take specific kinds sometimes that's what they spec shett tells youI'm not worried about that at the moment. It will not be used for any heavy use. It will be only used for regular entertainment purposes. I just need to find a power cord for it now.

I don't usually buy accessories or add-ons for things I don't even own (yet), but today I ordered a 3D printed shell for the Krikzz "RGB Blaster." It's made by a company called Humble Bazooka, but if you go to their website they don't sell them. They're sold only at stoneagegamer. I'm not a fan of stoneagegamer, but no other option. It's needed because the RGB Blaster is an amazing device, but why Krikzz didn't put it in a proper Fami-cart shape is ????

This shell fixes that so the RGB Blaster doesn't wobble and malfunction.
If you don't know, the RGB Blaster delivers pure RGB signal to a SCART-capable CRT, or to an upscaler, i.e. no modification to the console is needed to get RGB-out! I'll buy the actual thing sometime later this year. (Black Friday)
