I see the creator of Themely has left GBATemp and locked his thread from further discussion. But he seems to still be working on it. As I was just greeted with an update on Themely (must have been pushed today, because I used it earlier and didn't have an update). And the big thing about this update is: Browsing and downloading themes from 3dsthem.es directly from Themely. it is awesome!

I guess, but then no NSFW themes. :ninja:

But I will take a look. Been waiting for this feature. Make me proud community :)

Its safe update Themely?
It's closed source, so we don't know.
He is considering adding Theme Plaza to Themely and that has a lot of NSFW themes
It sure does! would like to point out it has way way more SFW themes than NSFW themes. 3 pages of NSFW themes 2 pages of sketchy themes and 34 themes that are SFW.

Nowadays, with all that suspicions about closed source homebrews, I guess it's time to go back on CHMM2...
Shit GUI (no offense...) but work pretty well.

NTR is closed source..so...what's the problem?
Im not force you or other to use themely is a bit stupid say that just becouse is close source can be supicions.
If you talk about erman, the dev, i don't know. Unfortunaly i only know the story via "rumors", so for now i give to him the benefit of the doubt.

CHMM2 have starting to have a nice GUI...then the project stop. Just for asking why he stop? When i started to entre the HB world i wasen't follow to much the retro scene.

No thanks Erman, I don't want any malware. Gonna stick with the "bogus version" until Themely goes back to being open source.

if he had explained his reasoning behind making themely closed source, and also explained a few of the things he has said, it wouldn't be such a big deal. but, he has left the temp and locked the tread. we can only assume the worst.

The forked open-source Themely works fine. No need to update to this.

His comments and actions are what's making everyone suspicious, not it being closed source by itself.

I mean the guy said it wasn't a bad idea to take unique console data...so who REALLY knows, because shortly after is when he left.

wait, but you can download the latset version off ermans github page, with the source here: https://github.com/ErmanSayin/Themely/releases
I heard about the 3dsthem.es drama, but whats the issue with themely?
Based on Erman's comments... Distilled down as I understood it, it was that one of the last things he said was in effect "maybe I should implement something like that" regarding swiping unique console data, and then he went closed source and dark. The fork was in response to that, and was recommended heavily because we as users simply don't know what he's going to do. Plenty of people on the board who can correct or expand on this who know much more than me, I'm just relaying what I consider to be a solid recommendation for safety.

Yeah no, any updates on yours @astronautlevel ?
Unfortunately I've been extremely busy with IRL stuff recently (school is starting up again soon, I have a day job, etc.). I have a first draft up on my github, though it's very buggy and incomplete and not recommended for day-to-day usage. I'm working on rewriting it to be a lot better.

Hopefully I'll have it released in a week or two.
