Yes you can, you extract the theme using the program «SwitchThemes», download the latest version from:

https://github.com/exelix11/SwitchThemeInjector/releases

First extract the .nxtheme file to a folder:

then recreate the .nxtheme file:

using your custom files.



Also you can open the .nxtheme file using «Switch Layout Editor.exe» (https://github.com/FuryBaguette/SwitchLayoutEditor)

an then just replace the image for a custom one:

It supposed you can use a JPG or DDS file.

I do prefer the later method because you only change the image but not always works like intended, test the bets one for you.

then you use NXThemesInstaller (https://github.com/exelix11/SwitchThemeInjector/releases) on your console to install the new .nxtheme file.
