Hacking theme problem

I downloaded a TWEWY DSi theme and I put it in 2 different folders and it didn't work. I even changed the .ini and checked the dimensions and filetype of the logo and bg .bmps.

umm DSi. R4 works for DSi? Or are you using a DSi skin for a DS?or iisit already been hackedreleased? and themes are supposed to be put in one folder i think... unless yours is like the 12 months one for each....

It's a DSi theme for DS and I have the theme01 02 03.. setup.
Help pls

I think I've had the same problem as you Reaper. Do you have the new R4 kernel or an older version (1.18 is the newest)? Or it could be you named the files wrong

U need to download a theme for the R4 handy sit www.ndsthemes.com
when downloaded pick all the files(bckgrnd_1.bmp bckgrnd_2.bmp icons.bmp logo.bmp and optional gbaframe.bmp)
put all these files to the _system_ directory in the MicroSD card

Here you go, try this utility I wrote. If the skins don't show up on the card after using it then you've done something wrong when you were creating them.

I also have an awkward method. Just replace the original theme image files with your new files.(EX. Replace all the files in "Theme12" folder with the same file name) But you may make a backup for your old original theme files unless you don't need them anymore.


TrolleyDave's R4 skin tool sounds peachy, I will give it a shot as soon as I get home. Thank you
