I'll kick things off with this....Watching Twitch.tv from this thing is a bitch. I can watch the main page video but all other stream pages want to force refresh.

The User Agent List

Google Hangouts (web version)- https://talkgadget.google.com/ - Firefox
Dailymotion videos -Android Tablet
....

I rarely use the Browser, but when I do, I always mistakenly type a search entry in the URL bar and it gives me an error. Can't figure out why they don't have a combined search/URL bar like every other device I own... :(

Yeah, it bugs me that this browser has no form of predictive search. What bugs me the most is how Google has yet to make their web apps compatible with this console. The Wii U and a keyboard would make for a good secondary PC.

It's actually very decent for "Web on the TV" use. Of course, being spoiled by my iPad which has multitouch, I find myself "pinching" the screen to zoom in/out to no avail, since the Wii U GamePad doesn't support multitouch. Just a minor problem and not all too big. Fun fact: Wii U's browser is far faster at loading and rendering websites than the PS4, so there's that. :)

I use the Internet Browser all the time to look up on IMDb boards, GBATemp, YouTube and more. It works pretty much like a normal browser, then again, the browser is Opera-based.

The Wii U's browser is not Opera based...sadly. It's made by the same company who did the PS3 browser and as always, Nintendo never creates a damn update. It's really annoying.

It'd be cool if it supported Flash, though. Some websites don't offer (all) videos in HTML5 compatible format and the Wii had Flash, so I find myself frustrated sometimes not being able to open all websites with videos. (Mostly blogs, which embed videos from Twitch.)

Oh, so the Wii browser was Opera-based.

The Wii U browser is from the same team that made the PS3 browser? Wow, that's quite impressive considering the PS3 browser was a pile of shit.

Nintendo should certainly update the browser once in a while for Flash and other features because at least once I have to change the settings to "iPad" in order to see the website's content.

Mostly due to the fact the browser on the PS3 was of a much earlier version without HTML5 support and it was not optimized for the Cell architecture.

I actually find more comfortable navigate with the left stick, zoom in/out with the right stick, and select stuff with the d-pad, I barely use the touchscreen, only to input text.

The browser does its job but it could be a lot better. Maybe we should make up a list of pages and user agents that work well with this thing.

I kind of hate it. It's slow at parsing pages.. It's good for a console browser but borderline useless..

has the updates destroyed the browser now, some sites now haveca zoomed playback on video. and the jap xenoblade x site the music doesnt play through the wii u browser. lol what irony
