So wait what do you mean by that?

What are you talking about? RawkSD was just released and wanin's cIOS rev14 is coming out in a week. This scene is far from dead.

The all you can have piracy has killed the wii scene, because people are finally satisfied especially now that its so convenient (*usb loader*).
Thats all they wanted the whole time...Just like the PSP

Hmm, can you specify what you mean with scene?

Because dumps are made nearly immediately (for PAL-Regions

; but I guess fast enough for NTSC-Regions as well). Emulators are all ported with additional features and nearly everything was hacked (WiiWare, Virtual Console,...) and the icing on the cake is, that you can hook up a external hd for playing games, movies and music.

I suggest using the system for gaming next

You are stupid.
I said nothing about the wii scene not being great, believe me I know. And all you are talking about is what I mentioned above, PIRACY, what helped contribute to the murder of the wii scene.
I was talking about it dying so early and painfully.

Everybody always wants what they can't have. But now, we got everything we want (full speed usb loading, skinable menu's, up/downgrading ALOT of system hacks and other things, almost everything is en/de-crypt/changeable.) and now we are still not satisfied. The wii scene is not dead, it's almost finished with evolving. We already got everything, and when cIOSv14 comes out, we're finished and the only new topic will be created by noobs that bricked their wii's.

That is why I kindly asked you to specify, what you are referring as a "scene". Are talking about the whole install-base of the system or the homebrew-scene?

I guess we have different view on what the purpose of a "scene" is. But we might even use the word in different context.

The homebrew scene did everything it could to make it the ultimate homebrew-system and there is great official software as well. I don`t know how you guys feel but I`m pretty happy with my Wii

And this statement refers to both scenes. So either way I completely disagree with your statement and I would say, that the scene is alive and is just enjoying itself

Wait, what? Piracy killed the Wii Scene? That's a like saying... Wait, I can't think of anything stupid enough to be a valid metaphor.

Maybe we will be lucky enough to see a firmware update from Nintendo, that is needed for a key-Nintendo-title, that takes the homebrew-scene a step back. That would be like a reanimation for the scene

a major title? on the Wii? lmao dude The Conduit is IT. they had there chance lol

there wont be anything better, maybe Resident Evil but i dont think so its already in manufacturer (it may actually be out in some places)

hey, with the coming rise of the WM+ new possibilities will be presented to us. We'll hopefully even see some homebrew that can take advantage of it. A new chapter is beginning for the wii.

Great, another "Oh, I'll start an discussion to get a higher postcount"-Thread. Let's use it, and flame the creator

I'm sorry, you're completely wrong. Piracy hasn't killed the Wii Scene, it's exactly the opposite. Some great devs came up, and made wonderful loaders, and all gained some knowledge from the various loaders, some people even got into coding because of this. Basicly, it was the best thing that happend, the Wii gained more popularity and devs. Also: Just because nothing "big" happend in the last month, this doesn't mean something. Thats so stupid, realy. Have patience, there will be some more great things, like:

-WiiLinux (not big enought? Then get realy a life).
-VC/WiiWare from SD/USB
-Better DVDX (probably)
-WiiSX
-N64 Emulator
-3D Engine
-etc..

Just wait and see, the scene is far away from death, more things are and will coming, some will even use BootMii, probably also WM+. It's true that we nearly have all we need, but still, there's always room for more, which will come. Wait, see, and STFU!

Blue-K

Just you wait until 4.1U comes out and the Wii is glowing Blue.

A bunch of people will be in here saying " OH NOEZ! update! iz it safe?!"
