Hi Guys,

Recently, I find that new .xci loaded to my Samsung Evo SD card always get "The software was closed due an error occurred", and after multiple copy to SD card might work sometimes. All old .xci that is already in SD card works everytime. I thought this is because of SD card issue so I re-format it (exFat) but still have this issue. I tried to format multiple times but still get the same result. Can anyone help me on this? I search on the web and this site but couldn't get a way to fix this. Thanks.

Which game crashed?
Pretty much every new .xci I install... but all old .xci are still working fine. But, sometime might work after multiple times of re-copying...

have you tried redownloading your file? it might not have downloaded correctly before.
The .xci was working before so it should be fine..

Data corruption is entirely possible. Try re-downloading it and report back. Also check your SD card for errors.

I am formatting the sd card and copy some old .xci which I already played it before. Which software you guys use to check for SD card error? Thanks.

Thanks, I will try that out, but I am curious the error won't resolved by formatting?

Could be a physical issue with the card rather then the file system. After so much gets copied to it the rest starts corrupting due to a hardware error. It's not uncommon.
After a format try putting on one of the games that gives you errors and see if it works. If so copy one game at a time until you start getting errors and then you will know the cards limitation. But I would suggest getting a new card if this is how it behaves.

You are describing fake microSD cards.

Ifyou got a fake don't bother using it. It's a worthless piece of crap that will die quickly. Get a good quality microSD.

My Samsung Evo Plus is 128GB, everytime I format it, I just copy 1 .xci to try it out. So far, it's getting me error. I am re-formatting again and see how it goes...

Sounds like a fake card or one that is at the end of it's life. Do you have a different card to try?

Not necessarily fake. Could just be at the end of it's life.

Warning: Only 122079 of 122080 MByte tested.
Test finished without errors.
You can now delete the test files *.h2w or verify them again.
Writing speed: 47.5 MByte/s
Reading speed: 62.9 MByte/s
H2testw v1.4

No error, but still have the same problem....

You gotta approach things like this logically. If you try it with another sd card then you can start to rule things out and proceed to the next possible cause. There are too many variables to try to guess what it could be.

Ok, I tested and re-verify all the steps. The issue is at my usb 3.0 card reader, only using this sd card reader .xci transferred to sd card will have the error message "The software was closed..." after loading. Before, I thought my sd card was corrupted so I kept re-transfer until the .xci run without an issue. I tested with a slower card reader and it's all fine without any issue now. Weird, anyone know why card reader will transfer issued .xci to sd card? Thanks.

Hi, I am having same problem with a Samsung evo plus 256gb. I get some errors, for example when I try to update my emunand, choidujour say that files are missing, when they all are in the card. Some games crashes sometimes. I have tested it using h2testw and no errors found.
