I have to say though, that the 3DS will stay alive for me regardless of any online functionality. It was, is and will be an excellent handheld.
It was a strange feeling when the last one, the N2DSXL went out of production some years ago. Technically all DS still contained a GBA, so in some way it was the last Game Boy.
