I just bought a Ritek DVD+R DL (instead of Verbatim, just to compare) and intended to burn Mass Effect on it.
The disk and it's case were factory sealed, and I can't believe what crap is for sale nowadays. The goddamn thing is literally burnt, scratched and it has holes in it. Needless to say, it doesn't work at all.

The store won't replace it, because they issue no warranty with the media (and since I can't prove I didn't do the damage myself

I'm really angry. I paid 3 € for a disc in that shape. That's a meal and a drink at my school canteen.

But still, the truth is, Mass Effect still costs 57 € more, so I can buy another disc and shut up about it ...

Every once in awhile, a few disc will be bad. Although I've never had that problem, I've had my fair share of discs with bad dye layers. I've always been able to take it back to the store to exchange it though.
