You're right; I misspoke. I actually meant they were ported to the Wii from Gamecube - I wasn't even thinking about the digital Wii U version.

The one thing that makes me think that it won't get a Switch port is that it already has a re-release, and I can't think of many games that get remixed/remastered more than once.

That being said, a true HD remaster would be excellent. I'm hoping they make it happen.
well hyrule warriors got a re release on 3ds and then on the switch.

Too early for a new Zelda, maybe next year we'll see a Four Swords - and the years later the SS HD remake.
Super Mario Maker could be possible

Also, I hate porting and remakes...

More like nobody knew what a WiiU was when it was still in production, and they still don't know what it is today. I'd bet the majority of Switch owners think these are brand new games whenever a trailer drops.

I think you're right, and since the Switch already has much greater distribution than the Wii U ever accomplished, they basically are still new games to most Switch owners. I really don't see anything wrong with Nintendo trying to give the good stuff that didn't get a fair shake on Wii U another chance. I think these games will see much greater longevity from this too, thanks to the Switch's popularity - it'll be a desirable console in gamers' collections for a long time to come, and not just for the novelty like the Wii U's gonna be. Personally I'd like to see Pikmin 3 on Switch.
