Also, Origin keeps crashing even on 7 for me, like I said in that other thread, it's almost always annoying

No, even if it's past 8, still use whatever works for you. I use Win10 purely because of WSL (Windows Subsytem for Linux), if it wasn't for that I'd probably use 8.1 still, 7 feels old and crashes on my hardware half the time.
Few points:
- I have Win10 Enterprise, with as much shit disabled as I can find in registry and group policy editor
- I also have several linux distros and macOS (Hackintosh) installed. I use whatever works well with what I need to do. I had Win7 installed once but deleted it due to lack of use.
- I honestly don't care what OS you use, if it works then thats great, discriminating against someone's choice of operating system is just gross. If it works, it works. That includes all versions of Windows and macOS

Yeah it's a gross piece of software, but free games are always welcome so I have to put up with it.

That same "spyware" was backported to 7 in some of the updates, so unless you have updates disabled you'd have most of the same stuff.

And then additionally the fact that I really don't care (Maybe I would with defauly settings, but not this) for my own reasons, it's worth the risks to have a fully functional OS with everything I need (Mainly WSL)

Don't get me wrong, it runs. It just likes to throw random errors and freeze up for no logicial reason. And the lack of WSL doesn't exactly inspire me to stay with it, I'd use Windows 8.1 if I didnt care about WSL, it seems a heck of a lot more stable and smooth for my system.
