Hi guys! It's the billionth SSBB Wifi topic, but for one that resides in the poor PAL region, Smash Brothers ain't gonna come out until the year 2100. Fact.

My question is this: For those who reside in America and have had the Japanese version of SSBB (be it hard-copy or downloaded), does the "Random" Wifi-match work now? If I remember correctly, the only way you could connect online in the Japanese Smash Bros was through Friend Codes (and your friend had to be in the same country).

The reason why I ask is because I want to import the US version, but being in Australia, random match-ups won't work. If the Japanese copies of Brawl now connect online in the US, then perhaps when Brawl comes out here, my US version would connect online random matches. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance, and pray for us PAL sufferers!

My backup copy of US Brawl doesn't work with random *sobs*

But don't take my word, as it's only a backup.

Just thoguht Id share xD

Same here. NTSC-U can never find anyone online to play.
What a shame. Most hyped wii game, and these ongoing problems.

Uhm, works quite well for me.. takes ½ min, then there's usually 2-3 other players connected.
NTSC SSBB ,
PAL 3.2E
Though .. it is quite laggy most of the times, unless i (probably) connect to a EU region player.
