My Nvidia Shield tablet just received a patch for the spectre vulnerability, did FW5.0 on the Nintendo also fixed that one?

TX has been developing their own CFW for months, long before ReSwitched began their Atmosphere CFW

I hope you're right since I think TX is more pirate friendly, homebrew mehhh, I want is the latest best portable games.

There's a way to do that already you know. It involves this wonderful thing called money and you can even use it online! Fancy that!

And I will probably do a one year contract and I'm almost sure the salary will be around 373 EUR per month, this island is doomed...

That's not the point .What gives you the right not to pay for what other people do? Do what we all did when we we're hard up. Live with it and enjoy it when you can afford such things. Makes you appreciate it even more IMO

Actually I would never buy a Switch in first place neither a single game, so I don't think I will do any arm to Nintendo... In fact they already got my money for the console and Zelda which I wasn't even going to buy if I didn't know it was going to be hacked...

Yeah because it was in promotion 80eur less and because I know it's going to get hacked, else I would keep playing on my PC and 0eur would go to Nintendo because I would never ever work a full week to buy a super Mario game lol.

Same for 3DS, I bought it and shove it in storage for 2 years until gateway arrived and even so was a waste of money because I have it like brand new and played like 4 games, I don't like the old Zelda's, super Marios and most Nintendo games in it .

I thought more games like Resident evil would come for it... I still have the original 3DS resident evil game and barely played it at the end...

i said they dont need to have cfw to modify the boot screen
they showed the custom boot so prove that they exploited the system

that does not mean they have made their own custom firmware. TX is never known for making their own custom fw

theyre known for making hardware entry points

i don't think so , they are going to have to provide some kind of loader .backup loader or CFW with their device if they want to sell their product

thats what they have been doing in the past

for the xbox 360, they didnt develop the cfw for the dvd drive, they just created the tool to flash it
for the RGH, they didnt create the custom OS, just to tool to run the RGH hax

Because this time Nintendo has the most powerful portable console ever made and it's getting multiplatform games which is more what I'm after, specially the latest Wolfenstein, I have it in my PC and being able to play it portable is just crazy.

But like I said since I have no money I can't buy games, so I would never buy the console in first place, so Nintendo doesn't lose anything with me either.


I only buy games that worth it and my favourite game is SQUAD it's far from everything and cost like 20eur or less, in Nintendo 3ds even a black and white game from the 80s\90s they want to sell for like 10eur where you have way better gazillion of free games on Android than most of them.

My account flag is wrong... I'm on Portugal, Madeira island, there's no jobs, Min salary is less than 600eur though I only won that value once, taxes are as high as the EU countries with 2k EUR Mon salary...

Gas = probably around 1.6 EUR per liter...

Last job I was in a 3 star hotel which paid 2.3eur per hour of nonstop work and I even had to do a free hour every single day.

Well it almost couldn't pay the diesel to go twice per day to the hotel which would be more than 100KM per day, so yeah I gave up.

And I have a 3 year course as computer technician, but it's pointless since there's almost no stores that fix computers or receive ppl to work there...

I only fix some friends computer\phones\tablet from time to time and I never asked for money to any friend, I can solder a bit too...

Oh and as much I wanted to go to England with some friends that keep calling me I have anxiety which is unbelievably hard, so yeah

then tx started to make tools after the flashing process got harder

At the begining you needed a device to extract the DVD reader key if I'm not mistaken, since I didn't have that chip I sent mine to a store and then I used the extracted info to update the FW when a new came out which sucked that I had to keep opening my X360 to connect the DVD reader sata to my PC and burn games on expensive DVD-DL...

When RGH came was so awesome, it's a glitch chip and to update you just need a usb pen drive and construct the new updated hacked FW with the excracted info from the nand and they kept updating very fast, when a new official update came out you almost already had the hacked tools updated to construct the new FW.

It was later you needed tools. In the beginning it was a floppy drive, a sata cable and using the Xbox to power the drive.

All I remember is there was a solderless extractor which was a bit expensive for only 1 time usage, so I sent to store instead of paying the same to get the extractor.

Curious that they'd be brazen enough to still make their claims with a revision in the pipes. With how thorough Nintendo made 5.0.0, I wouldn't even be remotely surprised if they soon/already have refactored the iPatches and slowly slipped out a fixed bootloader into the wild without even a hint.

But a new SoC is going to lead to a lot of potential damage, especially if its effectively identical externally.

Not that I am not still extremely dubious of how damaging or not this whole process will be to begin with to a unit.

no you didnt need a device to get the key. the key was included in the cfw itself. im talking about 2007 with the samsung drives
when the hitachi and liteon drives were released, thats when we needed the tx tools

Yep, the original Sammy drives. I had to purchase a floppy drive second hand when the method was released.
