Today team Xecuter have released a new statement regarding their Nintendo Switch modchip: [prebreak]1[/prebreak]


"Here is a quick update on our product status:

After a few days delay due to Chinese New Year, we have finally received our prototype boards, as can be expected from any development cycle, we have experienced a few issues with reliability of our entry point, we will work on refining our method and keep you posted, stay tuned for more exciting news and videos in the coming weeks.

We are sorry for the delay, but we are also sure all Switch owners will be delighted by our product. It is worth the wait!"


No further information about the device is currently known, apart from there will be a solder and solderless version.

The lack of entitlement in this thread really disturbs me. People are going nuts when a single dev isn't delivering on time, but when it's about a commercial product, the best you get is a little bit of sarcasm in some posts.

I think Pokemon going to be a 2019 game game freak haven't made a pokemon game on a system as powerful as the switch before it would be rushed if it came out this year.

As I've pointed out before, they would have been working on that years before it's set to come out. They were working on 3DS Pokémon games along side the Gen5 games, and there was the Easter egg for Gen7 back when Gen6 came out 3 years before. In all likelyness, they had everything done outside of the final development, from story to the Pokédex number, before anyone even ever heard of the "Nintendo NX".

if you are referring to the qlutoo thing, he did say he would release the Homebrew Launcher on February 1st, and then the 15th, at which point he did not post so much as a "delayed again" message. People don't have much to go by really. Just getting a bit antsy is all.
