Unless you need to polish your internet ego, which is plain stupid.
What matters is the quality and expertise you convey in your posts.

This, a thousand times.

The only intelligent reply on this topic.

I would care if I lost a lot of my posts, not for the post count, but because I'm helping other users.
And all my helps would disappear and I would have to rewrite all that again

If the lost posts where only off topic and spam, I guess nobody would care losing them (except for e-penis)
I think it's bad that the forum lost so many messages, 2 years contains a lot of useful informations. (update, beta, bugs report, requests, tutorials, etc. etc. !)

I was not really active on the last months and I don't care about posts count ... but we lost the full cleanup of sticky tutorials and a lot of good material ( near everything from some mods like Leiger...) for sure it is max pain... and the admins are ... (no words ) ... but there nothing we can do now except restoring some threads from G. cache ( I already restore the beta 4 opening post from impizkit ... and he started a beta5 thread

)... or from our own archives. Don't give up ;-)

Every time I try to register I get the message, "The administrator has banned your email address. You will need to change your email address in order to continue. If you think this is done in error, please click here to contact the administrator." I tried 4 different email addresses 2 of which I made just to try registering and when I click on the link to contact an admin I get this message, "Sorry. The email function has been disabled by the administrator."

Has anyone had this problem/know a solution?

1. You can NOT use Gmail, Hotmail or other free mail services to register there. You need to use your ISP's.

2. Still waiting on that activation mail, still can't post there, it's been 24 hours+.
It seems I'm not alone waiting for the activation email either.

Hoping TC will address this.

Well, seems my account is also gone.. That's pretty careless to not back up for so long. Maybe someone else has thought of this already, but why not use Leigers wikidot to transfer/cross reference information back to the TC forums, that way we can recover some of whats been lost.

I'm also waiting for an activation email.
-Poke.

EDIT: The CycloDS iEvo claims to have superior technical support. I think it's time they held that claim up to the light.

so don't sulk over lost posts, make up for it by posting in quality, rather than in quantity.

Almost all of my posts were explanations on how to use the CycloDS, tutorials. I've spent probably hundreds of hours helping users.
I'd say both the quality and quantity of my posts were very high. How do you think I became a moderator?

So I'd think that it's understandable that I'm upset that my work/post count over the last two years is lost.

Interesting, i feel like i used my gmail account to register before the forums got all fucked up and I know I definitely did not use my ISP's, maybe they made some changes? But thanks for the info, only problem is currently I use an Android phone tethered to my PC for Internet so I'm not really sure what to do :/
I guess it's not that big of a deal though

Sulking over post count is pointless.

Sulking that pretty much all of the help you've given over the past two years has been irrevocably lost is different.

I too am waiting for activation email. Guess I'll never get it. I had this problem the first time I ever logged onto their forums.
They have lost my e-mail but not the name so I had to re-register as TheJan1tor but don't know whenever I'll be able to poste
again till they fully activate me. No way to contact them other than the main website which I rarely get a reply from either.

Oh well. Wait n see.

TC appear to have activated my account(without me recieving an email). Has anyone else's account been activated?

Did you have an account before January 2009? If so, did you consider that your account wasn't actually affected?
