It's funny because I got a cyclo because the R4 team died.

It'd be pretty freakin sad if they really left like this, a big "FU" to newcomers who just bought a Cyclo.

(it seems to still be on sale, maybe Shoptemp could try to contact them and get and official word on this?)

I really like this device and seeing development stop really sux.

TC, I do hope you're just late paying the hosting fees.. :/
Or if this is really over, please release documentation.

In a perfect world, the team would release the cart's source code once they decided to stop support.

Maybe they are on holidays and dont have mobile access to there website.
They are a bit slack in making sure there site is always up.

this is good news, now all you cycloDS owners can move on to a better cart in the DSTwo

please, this is a rather sad time for cyclods owners since the 3DS is comming out soon they rather play with there cyclods for now or dish out there r4 if they still have one. unless the dstwo somehow becme the first flashcart to work on the 3ds then cyclods owners may conside buying it.

Hopefully the sleep-WiFi capability and SpotPass on the 3DS that delivers automatic updates to fight piracy doesn't work as well as it sounds.

As for this mess, I'm disappointed. I'm sure they are professional enough to update their customers. Maybe their caught in a legal battle?

Yeah no one wants to buy a new cart right now; 3DS is just around the corner and anything we buy will be out of date in less than six months.

It'd be really nice if they finished up the new gui and stuck around to patch up Pokemon when it comes out. This has been such a good run for them; it would be really disappointing if they packed up now right before the DS has run its course.

Well there are many times TC said it will be their final update and it ended up not being their final one. But now i guess 1.59 is their final update even they didn't announce it.

Is this even needed?

We all know that everyone here buys their games and dumps them themself, so if a game isn't working, then they can use their retail cart.

Why suggest the DS2 when we can get a cheaper alternative (AK2i)

They just get bounced back saying they don't exist.

So a few days ago, I buy an Acekard 2i for my friend as her birthday gift thinking CycloDS was still the better, more viable product. I give her the card, and the Cyclo site domain has expired. God hates me.

Dude the 3DS is coming out next year in March and you'll have plenty of time buying a new flash cart + a 3DS.Stop being cheap.

They aren't being cheap, and your a bit off with you release date. The release date for the JAPAN 3DS is November, while the Euro and American 3DS is next march.
So they arent being cheap, they are being realistic. In a month, the DS will have almost finished it's course. By next march, the DS will most likely be a doorstop.
