These shots of a real, live G2 confirm what we'd already suspected from renders: this is basically an Americanized version of the upcoming HTC Vision. What does that mean? Well, it means you can expect a 3.7-inch display paired with Android and a sliding QWERTY keyboard -- higher-end than the myTouch 3G Slide and a fitting successor to the trailblazing G1, if you ask us (though admittedly not quite as geeky as the model it replaces). Follow the break for another shot! [/p]

Hmm, should I continue its legacy by replacing this G1 with G2?

Ugh, I'm stuck with AT&T for another year.

Hopefully, by the time my contract ends, they'll have decent phones that I actually care about. Android? Shit. iDevices? Even more shit. Any other phone? Also shit.

Maybe someone will make a decent phone for once.

Custom images improve performance, but not by enough.

Compare to any decent handset and the MSM7k series chipsets feel like molasses mixed with corn starch.

it does look like a HTC Vision ...

maybe it'll reach Canada... but it will probably be too much and only Rogers is gonna have it -_-.

I agree but it doesn't deserve to be called awful, decent describes it better.

Do want though I probably wouldn't be using all the functions so it would be a waste. [IMG] I can't get a new phone anyways.

Huh? The T-mobile G2 is already out and looks nothing like that, but then again name changes are very confusing.

The T-mobile G2 (in the UK anyway) is a branded HTC Hero.

    G2 Touch, technically.

Although they did kind of jump the shark with the brand. Most handsets tend to have differing names in the US and UK/rest of the world.
