when my brother put in the fifa 11 disc (original), the wii asked for a update, since i have it homebrewed and that stuff, i was wondering if it's safe to put it, or the homebrew stuff will be gone, or will my wii get bricked?, i don't know much about this stuff, so that's why i'm asking
My wii is american, black, has gamecube compatibility.

DON'T UPDATE IT!!! If you read the back of the game case, it will say that the update will search for any illegal programs (like the homebrew channel) and if it finds them, it could render your Wii unusable (bricked). There are usually ways to manually update your wii to be compatible with the game you want to play. When games need an update, they usually change your IOS's. If you find out what IOS that is, you can either apply a patch manually, or install a cIOS that will allow you to play the game.
