Homebrew Homebrew app sys-patch - sysmod that patches on boot

Hey,

For many backups, it works great, but I have an error with one:
  • Error Code: 2002-4153The software was closed because an error occurred.
  • Error Code: 2016-0601Corrupted data has been detected.
Could it be from sys-patch? Or is it the backup?

Thanks!

Switch Mariko (v2)
Firmware: 21.1.0
Atmosphère: 1.10.1
Hekate: 6.4.2 and Nyx: 1.8.2
Sys-patch: 1.5.9
Tinwoo: 1.0.28

Short answer: no

2016-0601 -> faulty microSD card
2002-4153 -> emummc corrupted ( https://github.com/Atmosphere-NX/Atmosphere/issues/2092 )

basically, your microSD card needs to be replaced.
@Titine

There's probably a very good chance that there's no need to replace the micro sd card, you can use a free tool called H2testw - https://h2testw.org/ to test if your micro sd has broken sectors, however if you reinstall the firmware on your emunand and re-install the game It will probably work fine as it will replace corrupt files if you have any. Try that first and if it fails, use a tool to check the sd for read/write errors (there's lots of free tools that can do this, so just google them).

If you know how to compile programs, here's an open source utility which is called F3-Fight Flash Fraud, which can also check the sd card capacity and if it has any broken sectors:

LLM "ai" chatbot skill difference. The LLM's he uses doesn't have the dataset or training on the topic of the nintendo switch at all. Using them to generate responses here is kinda silly,
Now you're just being stupid. I gave @Titine proper advice instead of the bad advice you gave him, whether or not you understand this advice is down to you, but your silly reply makes me wonder if you think you're smarter than you actually are.

just because your LLM/aichatbot told you that, doesn't mean it's true.

stop using LLM responses as a substitute for experience and knowledge. Especially when none of the LLMs have any training in their dataset on the subject at all.

It's says on your profile that you're 29. You're very immature for 29 year old.

Testing with a test build, I fixed a few minor issues with warnboot (and I hate GCC xD).
Other than that, no apparent issues, sys-patch 1.5.9 from impeeza works perfectly.
I should point out that I will not be sharing any Atmosphere builds, as these are for testing purposes only and may contain bugs or cause confusion with the official releases.

Also, qlaunch has been updated and all themes need to be redone, not just the lockscreens but also the home menus.

I have set up emuMMC, I only want to patch emuMMC, if I understand correctly sysMMC is also patched. Is this safe regarding ban? I was planning to play online on stock firmware.

There is an option in the config file to patch either SysMMC and/or EmuMMC. So you can just change that to only patch EmuMMC. That might even be default, I don't remember

"The configuration file can be found in /config/sys-patch/config.ini. The file is generated once the module is ran for the first time."

There is nothing permanent, I can just change after first boot?

Yes. Just boot EmuMMC and then edit the file to not patch SysMMC

If you boot into emunand only emunad gets patched, it you boot into sysnand only sysnand gets patched. Boot into emunand and then in the overlay disable sysnand from being patched, then when booting via Atmosphere only emunand will be patched. If you don't run rcm you will not boot into Atmosphere and will boot into Stock Sysnand and no homebrew will work, so nothing will be patched.

For your own safety and peace of mind just boot without using RCM to boot your sysnand. Obviously you need to use RCM if you are booting an emunand.

Thank you!

Now I just have to fine out how I view the overlay. :blush:
