--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

How awesome would it be to be able to listen to Spotify with this ?

Not asking it to be done but still, coolio
this is possible ...

Im not sure if this is suppose to be the norm for this most recent update but after 1 playthrough of the song, it just stops and wont repeat? Cant seem to get it to repeat...

This is a very impressive module. I've been anxious for something like this ever since I started using anemone for 3ds.

My switch is running 9.0.1. And I'm using SX OS. When I put a MP3 file into the music folder, it runs fine. However, the music runs nonstop, no matter what I'm doing.

I wanted the music just running through only on qlaunch. So I made a new folder under RootDrive/config/sys-audioplayer/0100000000001000, in which housed my MP3 file. And then changed the titleID flag to on. Nothing happens. I tried the exact same thing for a game titleID, no music in the game. I followed the steps as best as I could.

I got a solution for all of you who are using this on 9.0.1 and ran into the problem in which the music won't stop playing no matter what you do.

Hover over the setting button on the main menu or any empty icon and hold (-) minus on your left joycon and instead of pressing (x) only once as it was intended for the play/pause button, keep spamming the (x) button until the music stops. To play the music again, do the same thing. Long pressing the (x) button might work but I haven't tested it myself.

For 9.1.0 users:

Go into the homebrew menu (from the portrait) and hold (-) on your left joycon and long press (hold) the (x) button until the music plays/pauses.

Edit: Specified methods for different versions

So using the boot2.flag with SX OS won't let you boot and will crash it. So it doesn't seem possible right now.
Should work fine on sxos just make sure your on either 9x firmware and have the latest sxos build.

Edit: all sysmodules & exefs patches should work fine, just the same as Atmosphere does but you need the latest sxos build on your sd card and either 9.0.1/9.1.0 firmware for them to work properly. wain autoloader for sxos is no different, that’s a sysmodule and works fine there’s no reason why this should not be exactly the same :)

Last edited by Reecey,
When creating the folder in Titleid, 0100000000001000 and placing the mp3 does not work. I change the flag tittleid.flag.on and deactivate playonboot.flag.off and it does not sound either.

Hey Guys And Girls

Sys-AudioPlayer ...

Let me introduce you to this Sysmodule that will keep your music RUN always....

Todo: Add new instructions for Version 1.1.0 ! - theyre on github rn...

# sys-audioplayer

This is a `
WIP background-audio-player as a custom Boot2 sysmodule` for the Nintendo Switch.

# instructions:
this is developed for `
Atmosphere/Kosmos` , Not tested on other CFW

1. Compiled Module Goes to /atmosphere/titles/`4200000000000000`/exefs.nsp
2. flag the Mudule activated by making blank file /atmosphere/titles/`4200000000000000`/flags/boot2.flag
3. add your songs (
MP3 ONLY) to /music Directory on Root of your Sd Card
4. enable the module nor by restart console, or using latest Kosmos ToolBox.

# Note:
1. Music will start playing as soon as the module is Activated
2. this is a beta version and the songs repeat 100 times by default / for future Repeat song Implementation !!!
3. right now it just plays all the mp3s in the /music folder of your sdcard once the switch boots.

# Usage/Cotrols: Beta:
Repeat = Hold ( `
-` ) + ( `Y` )
Play/Pause = Hold ( `
-` ) + ( `X` )

Credits: @jakibaki for original Code :D

Pull request , added Tesla-overlay support to the title folder

{

"name" : "sys-AudioPlayer",

"tid" : "4200000000000000",

"requires_reboot": false

}

Is there a way to create a companion homebrew that could allow people to choose any song they want to play or something like that? Or at least a way to skip/go back to any song? That would be cool

hi. I want to use this on sxos to make a video. Can you confirm I basically just put it in sxos/titles instead of atmosphere titles and make same boot flag or i gotta change the sysmodule into a kip?

ok this is really cool so not sure if this works with everything or what but it sure do work with this module and it works on 9.1.0. Very very cool. Wonder what else this technique works with. How many people even know about this. Thanks Reecey!

Ok so slight bummer I can't seem to get my playlist to repeat 100 times even with the old module. It will play my songs and if I hit minus and y I can repeat tracks but what I want it to do is repeat every song in music 100 times. Is that something broken in sxos? but other than that really cool. My problem is i want music to play in the sxos menu but once you go in there you can't seem to start the playlist again and it won't repeat on it's own.
