So I have this movie in .mkv file formart.I convert it to 720x264,but everytime I play it in my dstwo the audio starts lagging. Is there another step I should be doing to keep the audio in sync?

Why 720x264? The most resolution a SCDS2 can play is 640x480 also the SCDS2 cannot play .mkv movies properly. Try converting it to .AVI.

Yes but if you also look at the bottom of that link you will see.

DSTWO iPlayer v1.0(2010-11-11) Download

Video: RMVB/RM/FLV/WMV/ASF/AVI and etc (the resolution 640x480 can be played smooth, and supports .srt sub file)
Audio: MP3/WMA/APE/FLAC and etc.

Those pictures are probably from their test setup and they certainly do not run on the SCDS2. Also they do not say 720x264 they say 720p. X264 which is part of the filename not the resolution of the image etc and mean the files are Bluray 720 pixel HD files in a X264 format and it well known that the SCDS2 cannot play the H.264/MPEG4 format smoothly.

Most the videos I run on my SCDS2 are .AVI with 624x352 (widescreen non HD TV format) and they look superb and because I get them in that format I don't have to alter a thing.
