I just got an error "2144-0001" when I accidentally tried to open an XCI from the home menu instead of the album. The weird thing is that I've done this before and received no error. My Switch has been in handheld mode too, so it's kinda odd.

i am an unlucky,i desperate to get any errors on one of my babies and nothing happen.holy cow,TX SX pro is the best ever and running the show.

We have a thread about this specific error already. It's homebrew/cfw related and not to blame on SX OS specifically. I get it way more often when the Switch is docked and almost never when handheld. Usually when running homebrew, or when switching games in the album.
