At this time, yes, there were plenty of them on aliexpress, elewelt, etc. But i think its over now, i heard few times, that there are problems with the activation too.

Does anyone know if SpacecraftNX is able to run and boot Atmosphere on a unlicensed SX chip or a licensed chip that was later swapped to another system?

Yes, did it on multiple devices, no problems

Atmosphere really does have some extra steps to get it working. Cant even get Pokemon sword to start unless i'm not putting the sigpatches in the right place. Thanks TX for spoiling me lol. Shouldve bought a license earlier.

Take a look at the aio-switch-updater (search github for HamletDuFromage/aio-switch-updater). With this, uodating CFW, Sig Patches, FW, ... is as easy as click and wait.
