I've created my NAND backup, saved it on my computer, deleted it from my sd card. I, then, saved my SD contents, launched the SX OS again, created my EmuNand, replaced the SD contents back, and I went to activate my license, but I never got the license-request.dat file that was supposed to have generated. Anyone know what I should do?

Okay, I posted this thread way too soon. I found out that you have to press Boot Custom Firmware to get the key generated. I was scared to do it at first because I thought it would start up the CFW and mess up my sysnand. Everything's good now :D

I've heard it won't send you the license-request.dat if your sd card is formatted to exfat. Format it (or another sd card) to Fat32 to get the license-request.dat. Then if you want you can go back to exfat although Fat32 is better anway.

    Nevermind, seems you've solved it.

You heard wrong. Exfat or fat32 doesn't matter either way. Also fat32 is no better than exfat, both are prone to corruption. Exfat on the switch only has corruption due to user error. I've been using exfat for over 6 months & have not had an issue

before I even had the thought of hacking my switch I got corruption twice so yes it can happen anytime your switch games crash.

My license.dat would never generate with my card formatted to exFat. The SX menu would tell me that it was successful but it never happened. Formatted my card to Fat32 and it generated first try. I believe there's something somewhere on Xecuter's website or forum where they explicitly state that your license won't generate if you're using exfat.

This, and not to mention it is common knowledge that EXFAT causes corruption using homebrew while Fat32 does not. This is something that is well known by the Switch community. But some people want to put their heads in the sand.

False. I've only used exfat on my switch and sxos had no issues generating that file.

It's common knowledge that corruption on exfat is due to user error. Look at all the people that have used nothing but exfat and have not experienced corruption.

It's not user error it's an issue with using homebrew such as RetroArch. The fact is Exfat has corruption while Fat32 has none. Find one person who has had corruption on Fat32. There's a reason why people constantly recommend Fat32 because it just has less issues period. I had corruption on Exfat and switched to Fat32 and had zero issues myself, and all I did was use RetroArch how is that user error? Stop making stuff up.

Just because there's people who have never had an issue doesn't mean you won't in the future. That's a silly argument.

If you want to continue using Exfat go ahead I don't care, but your info is erroneous.

It's just plain dumb the things people get butthurt over on this site "my format is better than yours WAHHHHH"

I have no time for a back and forth that goes on and on with you so I'll just end it here and add you to my ignore list because there's no reason to continue.
