"PSA: SX OS contains brick code. How do I know this? Take a guess... :/
Anyway, the concept is the same that was used by Gateway for the 3DS: your eMMC will be locked with a specific password. Sadly, in my case, the password was generated from random garbage on the stack. :("

For me at least

This confirms that the TX Job offer email that was floating around was a complete lie

Pathetic to say the least

Don't know if the messages are real though...

So if I start messing around with Windows dll files and suddenly Windows 10 stops working can I claim Microsoft included "brick code?" :D

Sorry if dumb question I am kinda to lazy to read all 22 pages. Are there still chances the crack will happen or has it been abandoned?

He's literally showing a fully decrypted FW, and people think it's "nothing".
IKR!
from the looks of it, they could probably patch all the checks and repackage it, where upon sending the payload, it will jmp directly to OS boot with the backup loader enabled routine.

with it fully decrypted, it's possible to RE the backup loader modeule and implement it existing cfw's.

What are the odds of him actually releasing anything though? As far as I know, he took down the github page for Hekate because it was being associated with piracy and backup loading. Seems about as anti-piracy as you can get.

He released his WIP unpacking code though. So chances are, he will release his last version, and someone will be able to modify the CFW or copy their rom loader code.
