Why not just release an edited boot.dat and then we run the license generator after we deal with running it on our systems?

that's a good idea. I was thinking of opening the boot.dat with ms paint and drawing in a back door for easy access but i'm terrible at drawing.

Funny stuff. Nevermind the license crack nonsense but what I meant is a boot.dat thats already been edited with the info thats already been given as to save the trouble and so that others may do more research or whatever. I understand that its a WIP and that its not exactly working.

well looks like the whole thing was abandoned as Pragma is MIA..and probably now working with TX.

You can get a very detailed information about why this is difficult in their discord's archived channel. Be warned, even with a B.S. in computer science and some reverse engineering experience, I only partially understood what they were talking about. Something about multiple levels of decryption potentially using hashes from previously decrypted things? I left the server so I'm not able to reread it to refresh my memory.

1. Put the modified boot.dat in your SD Card root. Use regular old payload.bin with RCMSmasher and it will run the modified boot.dat resulting in it using the modified public key for all licence.dat checks!
   Now obviously the public key matches with the licence.dat contents, so it thinks its a valid licence!
   SX OS Boots free of charge.

1, I made the original post about day 1 crack etc before it came out. I had no experience with TX's products beforehand.
2, To be fair, I got pretty darn close. I have a modified boot.dat with a modified public key created, but when you boot it, it freezes after the splashscreen. Usually it would do the boot.dat error screen.
3, If that freeze managed to be fixed, we would have a crack.
4, I dont have enough experience? I don't see you doing anything except flopping your dick around just because I dont have a crack.

Oh btw, the whole thing about having to futher decrypt the data bin in boot.dat isn't true. The data that is further CTR encrypted starts from RIGHT after the padding after the public key :/

To be fair, him claiming many times that he was close to cracking it screamed of amateurism. He has no experience whatsoever in software cracking.
It became quite obvious when he only installed IDA to check into the boot hangs.

I don't think you're in the position of strength to make such bold claims.
You are showing that you are, indeed, an amateur.

CIL is quite easier to patch when there are no DRMs. And, there are so many tools making this much more easy. Hacking .NET applications without DRMs is Cracking 101. And you even have access to a live debugger, in this case.

I am simply trying to be respectful, and was trying to warn him about the kind of behavior he had.
His reactions seem, however, to be quite condescending, which I consider quite unnecessary, and giving him quite a bad image.
