Hacking Question SX OS burning no fuses anymore?

so maybe i get an answer if i make a new topic:

the SX OS 1.1 added protection against fuse burning. is that only a protection if i previewsly upgraded to 5.1 with that guide or are my fuses now generaly protected against burning, even if i update normaly through system update or card update

I'm also looking for a definitive answer as to how you should update to 5.1
I assume it's from within SX 1.1 / 1.2 CFW but I don't have my stuff yet to confirm...

You have to use this guide, you can't update using Nintendo's servers and maintain fuses. They will burn.

Previously if you used that guide to update and then booted into SXOS your fuses would automatically get burnt.

1.1 fixed this so they didn't get burnt, but also couldn't boot into SXOS
1.2 fixes that

Ah ok. I'm feeling inclined to let em burn because that guide looks like a right old choir.. and since i bought the pro, i may as well just use it and forget about warm/cold boots.

For some.. If you want to maintain a low firmware switch incase another solution comes along. For others who don't mind booting with RCM permanently it's unnecessary.
