I've figured out how the title id works...or so I thought. I'm having a problem with splatoon 2. three or four of the dlc and the game have the same title id, but then three or four others have different ids. I looked in switch backup manager, and it shows each of those dlcs having different languages compared with the game. however, every site seems to have the same dumps. it lists the content id of the game, update, and each dlc, but it shows that some of the dlc have a different id. the sites claim it's all for the same region. I read that splatoon 2's dlc is region specific, but I don't know what region all of this content is from.

https://tinfoil.io/ try this out

It shows title IDs but not sure about region. I know the homebrew app shows regions but the site might not. Not sure:unsure:

hmm...I don't have a hacked switch atm, so I can't check on the system. that site shows 3 dlc with the same title id as the game I have. I have all 3 dlc listed too, but there are several mysterious dlcs that have different title ids.

this is what it looks like:

is that the complete set of us dlc? I'm wondering if certain dlc was named differently in other regions.

hmm. I looked at the European dlc. 2 different test fires and the world premiere dlc all show different title ids. were those released only in Europe?

All regions have their own title id for test fire and splatfest world premiere

do you mean that that dlc has a unique title id and is compatible with all regions?

that's what I figured, which is why I'm confused why it shows 4 different title ids and virtually everywhere has only the us and eu versions of the game. the sites say that both of those dlcs, having different title ids, are for the eu region.

hmm...I read that both of those dlc are actually demos. the nintendo eshop and wiki both show octo as the only dlc for splatoon 2 (usa).

I think I've figured it out. there are actually two regions with these nsp files. two of the other nsp files are for both eu and usa. they're both demos, which seem to have a unique title. I'm not sure if it's due to being multiregional or being a demo. on the wii u, demos have a separate id as well.
