The safest way would be to flash your NAND back to a pre-SX state, then upgrade Horizon.!
n.b once updated, backup your new updated NAND state, take device off-grid then setup your SX environment again..

So, as I said above. Follow what I said, assuming you have a pre-SX NAND backup to work with, if not, backup your saves, reset the console & update within a clean Horizon environment..
