As I was testing my Switch Pro controller the other day, I noticed a problem.

Whenever I spun my right analog stick around, and then tried moving it right, it didn’t go all the way.

It doesn’t seem to be drift, yet there seems to be something wrong with it

God, this Switch shit is such expensive garbage. I have a Pro Controller where the issue is recurring drift, so this might not help, but it usually gets mine working for like another month or so before it has to be repeated. I soak a cotton swab with isopropyl alcohol and rub it around the base of the stick while also moving the stick around so some will get inside and underneath then blast it with compressed air. I sometimes clean around the base of the sticks with the alcohol even without the drift. You'll see this buildup up white plastic dust that's from the stick grinding against the edge. I suspect this stuff gets inside and messes it up.

I personally don't think it's drift since the sticks seem to snap back fine/don't move on their own. Plus, the stick can still go all the way right, it just happens whenever I rotate it around. I don't know if this is a common thing the controller has, but it's still something I found out.
However, I'll still look into cleaning it/polishing it out myself. Thanks for the advice!
