Hardware Switch not working

So I came home after two months of being away. Plugged it in and I get a flashing screen with the battery half charged and the charging bolt icon.

system just flashes off and on like that. Tried hard reset. I get the Nintendo logo then back to flashing off and on. Both docked mode and handheld mode does this. When unplugged nothing happens. Please help.

I let it charge all night while the screen flashed. Still the same. And it says I have half battery
