i have done it there are now 3 files in the atmosphere--hosts folder

default 99kb
default.txt 191 kb
emummc.txt 191kb ( default.txt.txt and emummc.txt.txt have got same file )

You can use MTP if it's enabled, or use Hekate's USB mount or just throw the card in your PC. Whatever you want to do, man. :-)

Make sure you have the /atmosphere/hosts/default.txt file that's called for in the instructions as well.

You can tell that exosphere is working by looking at your serial number in Settings. If it is all 0000s then you're good and you will not be able to connect to Ninty.

To check that dns:mitm is working you can use 90DNSTester.

well i have made the files in MTP have to change the name to exosphere.ini
also put the default.txt
when i go to system and serials i can see my original serial number for my console.. its not 0000.
i had tried connecting to my wifi but it still shows my full serial number not 0000.

i had to reboot switch and now its showing 0000

Oled has 4 accounts but not linked t9 online.
The kids played 3 games and made some progress on oled.. the icloud saves has not been enabled.
How do I transfer the game safe from 4 accounts fr9m oled to v1 mod swith.
They want to play from where they left on emunand...of v1 switch.

If your V1 has a clean Sysnand and you can go online with it safely, you can use Ninty cloud saves to transfer saves between OLED and V1 sysnand. Then use Hekate to expose your Sysnand over USB and use NXNandManager to copy the saves out of Sysnand and then use JKSV to import the saves back into Emunand.

you would need to link them to use Cloud saves. If you don’t want to do cloud saves the only other option is to buy and install a modchip so you can run CFW/homebrew on your OLED.

Personal preference maybe? I don’t know. I don’t run multiple accounts on mine so I don’t know which is best.

On a modded Switch you would continue to go online with 100% clean Sysnand.
You would use your legitimate nsp backups and homebrew, mods and cheats on Emunand and keep it blocked from connecting to Ninty servers.

I highly recommend having an Emunand. This way you keep your Sysnand clean for Online and do anything else under Emunand and can always make a new Emunand in the future should anything bad happen. In that unlikely even…your Sysnand will always remain untouched.

before we go too deep into this please check to see if you have one already.
If you go into Hekate and tap the far right eMMC tile and take a screenshot of that page and share it here.

answering your follow up questions as well but please do the screenshot first.

file system is always FAT32 andI prefer partition based emunand. please note that if we have to reformat to get you a 32G hidden partition you will need to create a backup first.

I just looked at the details of your previous pic and it clearly shows you're using Files-based Emunand. I prefer Partition-based myself but many folks run Files-based and state they are fine.

I have got around 150 gb of data on sd card.
Is their an easier way to do it.

Doing a backup and restore is the way it would work. fortunately one of the advantages of a files based system is the backup is very simple, simply copy paste everything on the drive. (Backing up a partition based emunand requires Hekate to backup to SDCard first and then copy it off your drive or using a tool such as NXNandManager or even EmuTool.)

Shall i leave my files as they are and when the emunanad gets corrupted to do this coversion then.
i am more inclined to change it now to partition based emunand for stbility,, the kids have played games and done to save on emunand,,they will like to keep their saves though.
what you recommend.

So with my v1 switch in its current condition is it OK to say.
1) I have got 100 % clean sysnand, I can boot into sysnand and sign in to ninty account and use the online service and download games.
2) the dirty emunand is blocked from ninty servers. I can use home brew on it.

It is OK to say it this way:

1) If you have a 100 % clean sysnand, you can absolutely boot into sysnand and sign in to ninty account and use the online service and download officially purchased games.
2) If your dirty emunand is blocked from ninty servers using exosphere.ini and dns:mitm you can use any home brew on it and play your “backups” in relative safety.

Legions of people operate this way on a daily basis without any issues. Mistakes in configuration are typically what catch people out. Triple check your configs. There are no guarantees that what works today will continue to work forever. You take the risks and reap the rewards AND failures.
