Hacking Question Switch Friend Code Database

What would you think about a Switch friend code database? I was thinking about creating one, but I want to know if there would be a few people that are interested into this.

This is like putting your phone number or email adres on the net... it is doomed to become a spamfest.
I rather give my ID to people I really know...

There are people that also add other people to their list, which is why there are threads in nearly every nintendo forum to share friend codes. That would be a way to have one big collection of them instead of many small ones.

How different is this from meeting random people online and adding them?

I don't see why it wouldn't be a good idea, but as you can tell, some people will be unwilling considering that the friend system isn't all that great at the moment, so filtering through requests and who you know would be difficult.
