Hardware Switch fan running at max after replacement

My Switch's fan recently stopped working and it was causing the console to overheat, so I bought a replacement fan and swapped it out. However, the new fans (I bought two fans in total, from different sellers) spins to max speed as soon as I power on the console, regardless of the workload. In addition, the fan also occasionally spins up even when the console is in sleep mode. It's nice to have a Switch that doesn't overheat, but the console sounding like a jet engine at all times simply isn't worth it. Does anyone else have similar issues?
 
You sure you plugged the fan cable in properly? Is the heatsink seated on the processor properly with good thermal paste on it?

Yes, it is locked in with the gray flap thing, and I replaced the old paste with MX-2.
