so I recently got an error code on my switch 2162-0002 and it never goes away every time I turn on my switch the error appears I cannot even go into the menu all I can do is turn off and restart which doesn't fix it is switch bricked ?

Hello, I am not exactly an expert with errors but this is the closest thing I could find. It's N support but maybe it still applies, worth a shot.

Not exactly, if you explore the page a little more it talks about how Joycons and a System Update could be causing the issue.
Pretty sure it’s kinda difficult to delete the joycon pairing settings and that other stuff if they can’t even get to the home menu, but eh, what do I know.

Does your switch have cfw? Seems it could be a firmware issue, do you have an update you could install (make sure cfw is available, as far as I know it is but I haven't checked in a while.

Have your tried a factory reset.

  1. Turn the console off.

  2. Press the POWER Button while holding the volume up and volume down buttons. Continue holding the volume buttons to open recovery mode. Keep holding the volume buttons until recovery mode is displayed.

  3. Select "Restore Factory Settings Without Deleting Save Data", then follow the on-screen instructions.
