One of the problems i have with the switch, mainly while in docked mode, is that inserting and removing cartridges is complicated sometimes, especially when the switch is positioned on a shelf with little headroom.
I was wondering the viability of a cartridge extender? Something like a blank cartridge that is wired into a cartridge reader that can set at a better location for inserting/removing cartridges. You would just insert the wired cartridge into the switch, and then insert the actual game cartridge into the reader.
I was going to get an original cartridge reader, and a cartridge of a cheap switch game, and see about wiring one to the other(after removing any memory on the cartridge).. just hard wire the connection points together, and attempt to get the switch to function properly.... But i'm not very familiar with the switch hardware and limitations.
Does anyone know if something like this is possible or worth trying? I know you can get the reader for pretty cheap (relatively speaking). Not sure about functionality.
