Switch 7.0 Downgrade to 6.2 tutorial

    copy boot0/1 and rawnand.bin into restore folder on sd card (exfat card required) boot hekate, tools, restore boot0/1 then restore nand

    Hi, is it possible to downgrade to 6.2 with someone else’s backup? If so can you walk me through the steps. Thanks.

    Dont do it, I did it, and i Brick my switch, All rawnand, boot0 and boot1 are console unique.

    As Niewdack said, it can't be done. There is console unique information in the backups, just wait :)

    just wanted to provide an update, finally able to boot up my switch now and have successfully restored to 6.2 via NAND backup and up and running. thank you for all your help.

    Or just be patient and wait for our BIG hackers to add 7 support?

    Can boot in OFW 6.2 and CFW via Hekate or SX OS by RCM. Can't boot in OFW 6.2 directly because fuse was burned when upgraded to 7.0.

    As other members said, don't use the backup not created by own, due to encrypted partition by unique key in backup.
    Although you can use special method for downgrading from 7.0 to 6.2 without backup, it's complicated and high risk, not recommended to do it.

    I followed the directions I did use rawnand instead of Gpp, but got noo errors all when great until I tryed to load into cfw it shut off no Nintendo logo nothing. Then I plugged it in no charging bar nothing. I have been able to boot into Hekate but nothing other then that. Any advice

    did the versions match so 6.1 boot0/1 files and 6.1 nand?

    I just trying to restore both boot's and raw again now when i try to load cfw i get intializing. loaded warmboot.bin and secmon now it is stuck there.

    Can this be used if you backup nand using sx os.. Nand backup tools?

    And can you still downgrade ofw to cfw even if has burn fuses

    Yes you can, you might need to fix gpt partitions afterwards though

    no, it will error if you try to boot ofw

    Thanks. Btw.. If you dont have the previous nand of 6.2..the only method wil be the one using the comp?
