Cartridge revisions and firmware requirements thread
Hey there, just like with the Switch 1 there are different FW requirements for different game cartridges.
To help users check if they can play a game on an offline Switch 2 I want to collect cartridge information again.
For this I want you who have bought physical (on cartridge) games to post some information.
Warning: The information here should not be used to update to a specific FW version.

There is no information about the cartridge code yet, so all we can do is to try and apply what we know from the SW1 cartridges and adapt it later.
So here is the link to the old thread again. Please link other information too if you know of any.
This is what what we currently know
nothing beyond Switch 1 yet...
Really good write up
The cartridge code over the connectors looks like this (Donkey Kong Bananza - 1.1.0? - FR)
AAACA3BX0055R
LB-AAACA-EUR-0
There are only so many physical releases so far. Lets hope this isn't pointless...
Cheers

This is adapted from my SW1 thread and is likely incorrect by now.
So we can derive this structure
AAAABCCDEEEFF
AAAA - Is the game code
B - target region / build
CC - unknown, maybe supported languages
D - ROM manufacturer
EEE - cartridge revision, with this you can see what FW it requires (this is what this list is about)
FF - is new to Switch 2 cartridges

The L Code
LB
The LB part of the front code changed from Switch 1 LA to Switch 2 LB. Seems obvious.
LN
There are codes like LN, too. They seem to appear on "Nintendo Switch 2 Edition" games.
Might have Switch 2 and Switch 1 versions on the cardridge.
LP
LP appears on Game-Key Cardridges.
Other
New is a single number after the region code, here EUR-0.

There are other information collections, but they don't seem to collect all information there is.
Required FW is one of them.
I have also seen threads here that say DK Bananza can be played without a download.
