So I am trying to get the Korean version of FFX working with English voice because I am learning Korean, and the only version with Korean subtitles is the one with Japanese voice, which doesn't help, so I kind of look into the files and I found a folder named "Voice", so I wonder if I replaced these files with another nonpdrm dump of FFX with English voice, will it work?

didn't work, I replaced all the files in FFX_Data/GameData/PSVitaData/Sound/Voice/JP with the US voice files, correctly naming the files exactly as the JP versions, and when the characters speak, no sounds are played.

You can't easily do it due to PSF protection.
The only way to do it, if your game has no patch, is to create a directory "ux0:patch/TITLEID" and add the files to "override" here (version with PSF protection removed). This method absolutly doesn't work if you wish to override an executable file (eboot.bin, ".self" or ".suprx" files).

What happens if I use 2 mai dumps swap voice files instead of 2 nonpdrm dumps, will that work?

You can easily decrypt PFS protection: that is what psvpfstool directly on a conputer but long time before, we already could use an hacked PS Vita to decrypt it (this is even the first step of Vitamin/MaiDump dump procedure). However, it is not possible to encrypt back with PFS protection (otherwise, NoNpDRM dump wouldn't be considered as fully secured).

holy crap, your post made me understand it very clearly, I currently have a dilemma, which is I have trouble finding the mai/vpk dump of asia version of FFX Asia PCSH00042, all I am able to find was the nonpdrm version, because in my mind has always been "I can't swap the voice files if I don't get the non nonpdrm version"
And based on your post I now understand that I am able to decrypt it myself from the nonpdrm dump using mai, which is what I am doing now, thanks for the insight! Really made me think outside the box, hopefully I am able to make it work.
