That's why I'm asking to confirm it...u think I would be that stupid?

you're asking for confirmation on something that isn't fully working yet. That's why I said to wait.
Even he should wait to disclose more further details until a PoC is actually ready.

I need a conformation about what that guy said...if its true gonna buy donkey Kong country... But it kinda sounds legit because the flashcards aren't updated to the most recent firm like 9.9 they stick to the factory version.... Dk country came with version 4.5 and it'll stay like that....if the 3ds could get tricked into installing the firm are that the game needed back then....BAM..we know the gamecart doesn't contain the firmware to install but it probably looks for it to try to install it...
Mass please say that its legit....

Who knows......we all know we need to wait..

If ironmaster is right, then I see a huge problem. As we all know, games don't include update data for the browser, so you would not be able to use Spider, and if you use Ninjhax 2.1, you will not be able to get ARM9 access. Ninjhax 1.1 requires the browser (that supports the exploit) to be there to run.

So will we need a 4.1-4.5 game?

If what he said is actually correct, which I doubt it's exactly like that, you would still be in a higher firmware that you updated from Nintendo and you already have the browser. So you wouldn't lose it.

hmm... this is interesting, i have Mh3u so i could essentially downgrade to 4.4 if this is correct, right?

So, if the previous claim turns out to be true; would ANY game with <9.2 update data work? That would also mean that my Ocarina of Time 3D with 1.1.0E (according to 3dsdb) could downgrade my 4.4.0E console to 1.1.0E? Hypothetically speaking of course.

One would assume so. Of course that would only be valid on O3DS, N3DS is a completely different story as you couldn't go back further than 8.0 anyway.

I have a o3ds good for us! :D but I feel ba d for n3ds owners

8.0 firmware is still exploitable, you know. Just not through the browser as far as I know, you'd either need Gateway or Cubic Ninja. The possibility is there though, so it's not all bad.

9.2 and less has full ARM9 and ARM11 exploits, not a problem.

A browser sploit was fixed after 9.2, it is fine.

My point exactly. People should just stop with the assumptions, especially since they started cuz of someone else, and just wait until something is ready to be shown.

I'm guilty of this. Sorry but speculation is just too much fun. Still waiting for an official announcement from Mass, though.

U saidd the exploit had something to do with gamecart

He did, but he didn't mention anything about gamecard updates. There's a difference.

The exploit. Not the downgrading process.

From what I understand, ARM11 kernel access is all that's needed to install CIAs. Once you can install CIAs, you can downgrade. Once you downgrade, you have ARM9 from previous exploits.
