It would brick your device as it is using someone else nand which are all encrypted with their own personal key that only their device has. Also attempting to downgrade with sysupdater can be dangerous as there is a possibility of user error that they miss with something that you are not supposed to which would brick your device.
Well i successfully used sysupdater and updated a 7.1 to 9.2 3ds successfully by using devmode and sysupdater, it has an option to downgrade so i do not see why it will not work from 9.9 to 9.2 by using the same pack that i used to upgrade and select the downgrade feature

Maybe update is most very easy than downgrade, I think, because the Native_Firm issue (but IDK).

If you can run sysupdater with the required permissions, it should work (this requires emunand that's patched as of now)

That's its, I'm updating to 10.1 and you can't stop me!

All I really need is homebrew, release a kernel exploit for 9.9, I don't care, I rather have access to everything then wait a year for an exploit for an outdated firmware.

in my country we said somthing like "When horses grow horns" :)
Yeah, cool... Well, finally those all are similar expressions (idioms) for the same idea! And, all of those just fit to post above (and next about same question)

Go for it. Like I said, 10.1 may be compatible. No clue. But honestly, I bet you wished you had stayed on 9.2, don't you? Anyway, go for it. I never asked you not to update.

Sell your 3DS and get one on 9.2 or lower. You can still buy them new on exploitable firmware versions.

Of course I wished I stayed on 9.2, but I'm long gone from that now, I just have to wait until Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon comes out in North America, then I will be happy. :nds:

I'm sorry if I come off as rude, but I think everyone in this thread needs to calm the hell down. We've already established the exploit isn't going to happen overnight - if it even happens, so why don't we just let MassExplosion do his research and notify us if he finds something interesting? At this point we're just filling a thread with speculation.

It was sarcasm.:creep: I know its not an overnight release.

It was fairly obvious, but I'm mostly referring to the fact that we've pretty much filled 28 pages of posts with pointless posts that do nothing but clutter the thread.

I understand being excited at the prospect of kernel access, but let's try to remain calm and wait until Mass has more news.
