Hacking Supercard not detected

I've tried it in my Nintendo DS and 3DS and neither of them are detecting it. Any idea on what I should try?

edit: I've gotten my 3DS to detect it twice now, but I have to wiggle the cartridge around and press really hard and sometimes it still doesn't detect it. Any tips?

they dont really fit perfectly, so you need to jiggle it a bit and take it out and put it back in sometimes

Seems like it's even worse than it was before. I think it might be dirty. When it does work (rarely), I'm getting an error message that tells me to restart the 3DS. Not sure why. I'm following this. Any other suggestions for the error I can try?
