This is the biggest fake around! The video is superimposed on the DS Lite's screen! Its a fake and a bad one at that and I doubt its even a real SuperCard Lite in the video!

Quite the bold statement. Have some proof to back up your claim? Or are you just spouting without a hint of evidence? Yeah, that's what I thought.

I have been all over the Supercard site and this vid is no where to be found!

Link that you see in the first post is linked from Romman's official SC website

The only way this could be real is if the DS game was loaded into the SuperCard's memory 100% as even the newest devs have problems with the transfer rates from the DS carts to the DS's memory. So if this was true then microSD memory card speed would not matter as all games are preloaded like GBA games. Other than that this cannot be real as a regular microSD card is only 1.8MB/sec(12X), which is not fast enough to load the memory into the SuperCard and then through the GBA string into the DS's mem. The speed just isn' there sorry as I have talked to DS game devs that have problems with higher cards speeds running from the DS slot to the DS memory. It can be possible with the game sitting in the SC's memory and thats the only way.

20X isn't fast enough as thats only about 4MB/sec and still isn't enought speed to push through the GBA slot to the NDS mem. Even with the SanDisk Ultra II 9MB/sec it might not be possible without caching. You would need 80X or more to produce enough throughput to the NDS mem. If the 60X card is working thats great but why didn't they make it work in the DS Phat?

Now you're editing your post to try and prove your point. Originally it didn't have the 9MB/sec in there and the 80X was 60X. It's obviously possible with a 60X card. The video is not a fake. Accept it.

Edit: In the press release they even recommend a high speed card for no slowdowns.

I edited it because I made a mistake and I did have 9MB/sec there I just changed the 60X to 80X. 80X miniSD cards still stutter with the SuperCard miniSD so unless its caching in the Lite version there is not way. I am talking about the Castlevania test BTW.

Of course.. thats why its called Supercard Lite and not Supercard Micro SD. Its built from the ground up for DS Lite.

Perfect DS compatbility
Nice Menu
Flush in DS Lite Slot
Front Loading

this is heaven.

the supercard lite has faster interal ram and 64 megabytes of it.
I wonder how that will affect battery life...

But I doubt they'd "fake" the video, since there'd be a lot of pissed off users who buy it based on that only to find out it stutters in actual use. Pretty important to me to get a card that can play videos properly, so I won't have problems in the future with FF3 FMVs or whatever.

RomMan says they were unable to fix the GBA compatibility and as for the menu RomMan said a while ago they weren't going to change it. This is from the translated text but it seems right.
