It seems that you might not need the update if you ran the update for Mario Kart (3.1E v2). A brickblocked version of US SSB worked first go on my friend's PAL 1.9s wiikey without having played SSB before.

I have a 3.2E updeted Wiikey 1.9g.

Used -R Fuji Dual Layer with not layer break setting.

hi got my WII 3.2U jap with D2c installed, when i tried to play SSBB it shows only blackscreen, please help

ok , i did some testing on a backup of SSBB PAL.

If you are using a dvd9- to burn the backup and have a wiikey,it will give you a error001 msg when booting . Avoid this by editing and resigning the main.dol with truncha and this tool http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=77938 ,as explained in this thread´s first post ,or use a dvd9+ disc and avoid the problem completely.

Looks like with the new 3.3 wii firmware update, the guide-made-disc do not work. I had a working dual layered SSBB until upgrading to the firmware. Now it comes up with a read error.

I think its got something to do with the firmware blocking the trucha patches.

Heeelllpppp. i downloaded SSBB DVD5 pal from Espalwii but it doesn't work. i have tried 99.9% of things here. I have a D2CKey, 3.1 Pal firmware, using LITEON dvd burner, Ritek DVD5 discs and am using img burn. help
