So i bought Hyrule Warriors Legends from Target a few weeks ago. They said i could have a free card that lets me reserve an upcoming Nintendo game and pay for it when it comes out. Naturally i took Pokemon Moon. So today i read the card and one part said
"Some areas playable in 3D."
SOME AREAS
So it looks like sun/moon won't be 100% 3D

Sun/Moon still won't have 3D everywhere. But I'm hoping they at least fixed it enough so that 3D can be used in double battles (and the new free4All feature). Maybe 3D will be available in more sections of the overworld but I bet it won't be even with n3DS boost. :(

i was not expecting it to be fully 3d in my o3ds, however i was thinking it was an hybrid game (like dsi games) with a "N3ds" mode

Its advertising to all 3DS owners. So maybe the N3DS will have 100% 3D, no confirmation on the thought, but it stands to reason when you consider that gen 2 and gen 5 had exclusive GBC and DSi features respectively that gen 7 will also have some exclusive features on the better available hardware it can be played on. (At the very least I'm sure the clock speed will natively be utilized, so we don't have to use an NTR plugin to allow for much smooth FPS during battles)

Anyway, we know that the O3DS won't have 3D everywhere, just like gen 6, that seems like a given. So naturally the boxart is going to say this just so any O3DS owner won't be disappointed when they see the game isn't in 3D everywhere. I really doubt the boxart would go out of the way either to then clarify, "But, if you have a New 3DS, all areas are playable in 3D" at least not on the front of the boxart, that would be too much wording taking away from the actual art. Now maybe New 3DS won't get more exclusive 3D, but it seems reasonable, especially considering Hyrule Warriors Legends had 3D available on New models but not old models. So I'm cautiously optimistic it will be there, but won't be too surprised if it isn't.

I just hope they fix the frame rate when you turn on the 3d, but I'm not so sure because this wasn't fixed on oras release
