You should've walked right past him when following the Old Man's directions, and after trading with him twice he'll tell you where hi is going next.

ok i can't stand it any longer i want to find him by myself but i'm tired of running out of slots i have over 50 nuts i want to use! where is he? don't tell me exactly where just give me a hint in what direction to go :P

after i found him near "that" village for the first time, i found him near a certain stable and a shrine..

1. Minor skill levelling that improve damage, usablity and durability. For example arrow recovery even with successful hit, Longer shield bash and stagger and under protection during animation, quicker charge attack, attack after rolling, etc. Also crossbows, throwable shield and dagger that you can both throw and grant huge stealth damage.
2. Unbreakable relic that discharge and loses unique propety For a while For over usage, like the master word, But you can still use them with extending charge time penalty.
3. More runes. Though the openness will be messed up if They are scattered throughout the world.
4. Repair weapons and improve them. Broken weapons still take up your slot though.
5. Auto aim For boomerangs and shield throw.
6. Penelty For using incorrect equipments, like fighting Someone with eletric element in metal armor.

I wish there was a durability meter for when I'm choosing a weapon to drop in order to pick a nice new shiny one.

well i found him and just put everything into weapon slots than went on a shrine guardian rampage. ended up getting a +guardian axe, +guardian sword, +guardian shields and +guardian spear. hehehe NICE

They do give you some details on it. And it goes with time, the more you pick up items and the level they are and how much you use them, you get use to knowing how many hits it can take before being broken.

I guess ive just gotten use to it.

there are many ways to kill besides using weapons your runes are your friends. there is nothing more satisfying than crushing a moblin with a huge metal block
