ROM Hack struggling to use plugins

installed luma 9.1 boot.firm added it to my sd card replacing the one i had prior.

when i relaunch and pressing select or start what options do i put on?

do i need a boot.3dsx file for 9.1. there was not one on the github page i downloaded it from?

3 do all plugins go in the luma folder under plugins?
