Homebrew Streetpass Not Working?

I'm not sure if it's just a me problem or not but ever since I modded my 3ds streetpass no longer works

The issue is that the notification for street pass pops up in the top left corner when i open up my 3ds, however there's no greenlight or anything appearing in my actual plaza and games

Is this normal for my 3ds to have this problem after modding this? Because even though streetpass is kind of dead there are some people around my school so I could get some random stuff in my games. Though this could also be just me not understanding how streetpassing works in the first place. If someone could help me or explain this I would really appreciate it.

Nobody uses the 3DS anymore. (Which is so freaking sad.) Streetpass is working, it’s just nobody is using it.

I’m having the same issue, not that anyone is using it. The light stopped coming on at all no games
