Hacking Strange thing with my GC mem card

I KNOW saving US games on a memory card which already has PAL saves should format it :
I did that (lol) and ALL MY SAVES are still there, I have lots of US saves AND lots of PAL games, no problem so far.

So I thought it came from my card : it is unofficial, it's a "top sucess" 64 MB.
So it comes from the official nintendo cards ?

same with me. Both my 8mb and 4mb mem cards seem to have no problems, and there both cheap unofficial ones.

Actually Ive heard that it formats if you mix NTSC and JAP or PAL and Jap. But I'm not sure

you are right. you cannot mix usa/pal saves with japanese saves. it will format the memory card (because it needs to use the jap fonts/codepage).
i have some officials/unofficias memory cards with both ntsc and pal since day one

Has anyone got 2 savegames for the same game (one for the original and one for the backup... )?
