Hacking Strange R4 problem, please help

I have an R4 sdhc card with a transcend 4gb card. The only firmware that I can get to run is r4 original 1.18. I have tried numerous other firmwares multiple times and they either won't load at all, or the firmware will start, but the games freeze on loading. From what I gather, the original r4 firmware shouldn't even be compatible with an r4 SDHC, so why is it the only one that works on my card? I've searched and can't find any information on this problem. Is my card some weird clone that I just can't get any info on? Please help me if you have had this problem or have even heard of anyone having this problem. I got this stinking card, but can't play any new games cause I'm stuck on 1.18. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for the help, but no solutions have worked for me. After doing more research, it seems that my card is a clone r4 sdhc (which is itself a clone), so it can run original 1.18 firmware, but nothing else. Looks like it time for an acekard... Thanks again for the help.
